Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. However, her parents did not want her to pursue acting until she became an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. The feeling of homelessness, however, brought her back to California again where she began working on stage. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together as part of The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. Perry was also featured in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The part was offered by audition regardless of the fact that she is a relative with the character.
