Mary Marg Helgenberger was born in 1958. Her acting career began at the beginning of the 1980s and became famous for the part she played in Siobhan Ryan between 1982 and 1986 on the daytime drama Ryan's Hope. McCain is also the oldest one of four siblings. McCain completed her studies at Phoenix Country Day School. She also attended Xavier College Preparatory a Catholic girl's private school. Her Columbia University Bachelors of Art History degree was obtained in 2007. In 2017, she was a part of The View's morning talk show The View where she co-hosted until 2021. She received the show's four Daytime Emmy award nominations for the show's efforts. McCain was also made a Daily Mail contributor after her three-year stint on The View. McCain also wrote four additional books, including America You Sexy Bitch, A Love Letter to Freedom and Bad Republican.
